Jewish musician Dan Nichols, whose melodies have become an integral part of the spiritual and liturgical experience of countless individuals and Jewish communities, will visit Houston for several Sukkot events. He will be in town Oct. 6-8.
Starting on Friday, Oct. 6 at 4:30 pm, Nichols will join the Evelyn Rubenstein JCC’s Bertha Alyce School children and “Mishpacha and Me” and “Shabbatify” families for “Sukkot Singalong & Dinner,” in partnership with Congregation Shma Koleinu.
Then, a bit later on Friday, Oct. 6 beginning at 6 pm, an will join us at Interfaith Ministries for a rockin Shabbat/Sukkot/Simchat Torah celebration.
On Saturday, Oct. 7, he will lead a Songleading Workshop at Houston Congregation for Reform Judaism, 801 Bering Dr., from 1-4 p.m.
Finally, on Sunday, Oct. 8, Dan will perform a Sukkot Concert at The Pub Fountains (12720 SW Fwy., in Stafford, Texas) from 4-6 p.m.
The concert, sponsored by Shma Koleinu, HCRJ, Congregation Beth El, Temple Sinai and Greene Family Camp is free. Donations will be accepted, however, as 100 percent will benefit the Jewish Federation of Greater Houston’s Hurricane Harvey Relief.
