YOM KIPPUR PARKING
In the evenings, the Emery/Weiner School parking lot is also used by those involved in athletics on the surrounding fields. Because of this, finding a parking space may be difficult on Tuesday evening when you arrive for Kol Nidre. We have therefore made some additional plans in case you can’t find a place to park.
We have arranged to have a valet parking service in the parking lot near the entrance to the Stein Fine Arts Complex, where the Becker Theater is located. If you can’t find a place to park (or just don’t want to), you can leave your car with the valets and head on in to services.
When services end, we understand that all congregants will want their cars brought up at the same time. We ask that you be patient. Just as at a restaurant or the Hobby Center, it may take a little time for you to be reunited with your car. The valets will do their very best to get your car back to you quickly so that you can head home.
We also recognize that some people do not like to valet park. If you can’t find a place to park, you may also drop your party off at the entrance to the Fine Arts Complex and park your car yourself in the front lot at Corpus Christi Catholic Church (9900 Stella Link Rd). The entrance to this lot is along Stella Link Road and is just beyond the church building. If you pass the long wooden fence, you went too far. Once you have parked your car, an off-duty peace officer will escort you across Stella Link Road, and you can walk up the north side of the building to the Fine Arts Complex entrance.
It is possible that the parking in the EWS lot will be sufficient for both the athletic fields families and for our needs. But we do not want anyone to encounter problems parking.
On Wednesday, October 12, we will be able to use the lot at EWS for parking all day with no issues.
